Hi, I am Ricky. I have been giving private tutorials on physics & math for 10 years.

The students I taught studied a wide range of syllabi, including:
IB, IGCSE, DSE, SAT, and HSC used in Australia.

All of my students went into universities after they graduated from high school.

My Educational Background:
I am a physicist by training. I did my undergraduate in the University of New South Wales, and my undergraduate research project in the University of Sydney.

After coming back to Hong Kong, I further pursuit a M.Phil in Astrophysics. Then I beome a Ph.D candidate in Earth Sciences.

After that, I work in a 3D Printing & STEM startup, teaching 3D printing & STEM to various organizations
such as schools & corporate training.

My Strength in Teaching:
I have experience in teaching students from many different backgrounds and levels, including:
- Grade 9 to 12 high school students.
- Gifted students when I served as the Study Adisor at Hong Kong Academy for Gifted Education.
- Adults when I teach business course in HKUSPACE.
- Undergraduate students when I served as Teaching Assistant in HKU, UNSW, and USYD.
- General public when I serve as Guest Speaker at the HK Space Museum.

These experiences allow me to explaining complicated concepts in clear steps & simple terms, as well as adjusting the explanations to different levels. Read less

I will find out the students' learning bottle necks in the first one to two lessons, and pin point what they need to improve their understanding on the subject, and also their ability to solve the subject questions and problems. When teaching physics & math, some common learning bottle necks I saw were: - Lack of clear & in-depth understanding of the concepts. - Lack of math ability to handle physics problems. - Don't understand what the questions are asking. - Not enough practice exercises.
