I have a Master in Business and Administration (MBA) from York Schulich School of Business. That was where I first gained teaching experience when I was a teaching assistance for two years while I was studying for my MBA. I feel most comfortable teaching students in Mathematics and Business related subjects.

I am a career trainer, training corporate staff in new systems and processes. I felt that being a trainer is very much like a teacher. I need to find out the most effective way to explain concepts and processes to my trainees.

I have been teaching and tutoring mathematics and business courses since Fall of 2016. I am currently tutoring math for students from Grade 2 to 12. I am also preparing students for their English and Math Grade 8 International Baccalaureate (IB) entrance examination.

I have strong communication skills and I am very persistence. I like to help students achieving their academic goals and fulfilling their dreams. I am fluent in both Cantonese and Mandarin.

I don't just teach Math. I teach students the tools to solve a problem. From understanding what the problem is, selecting the proper approach (most effective and efficient) way to tackle it, double check your answers and celebrate your success. I break things down to little chunks and let students learned them at the pace they are comfortable with, giving them as much practices as possible and build their confidence one step at a time before moving on. It takes time, but it yields results. Read less
