Hi there!

My name is Ivan Lytovka. I am a second-year computer science student of Ryerson University in Toronto.

I was formarly graduated in Ukrainian gimnasium, where math was way more challenging comparing to public schools around. On my final year in my high school, I achieved 90% in both algebra and geometry. In addition to that, I participated in various math contests in school.

Even thought I don't have prior tutoring experience, I constantly provide help to my peers and classmates in university to get the idea of concepts like limits or derivatives through study groups, where I would break down a complex problem step by step and assure that everyone is following the logic behind the explanation.

In the end of the day, what truly matters is how you develop your comprehension of math in order to achieve high scores in tests or apply knowledge in practice. I will lead you on your way to improving math topics you're currently struggling with and will put an effort to make them your strongest part in your academic performance.

The subjects I teach include Calculus (conceps of limits, derivatives and integrals), Discrete Math, Advanced Functions, Trigonometry, Plane and Solid Geometry.

The essence of teaching is a dialogue between a teacher and their student. I would first ask a student to briefly explain the topics they have troubles and where they think the problem lies. This will help me to provide my student with more accurate materials and give more relevant explanations. Then it all comes to solving more problems with my guidance - this method still proves to be the most efficient one. Read less
